Our Story: Three Generations of Himalayan Shilajit

From the High Karakoram Since 1970

Following his service in the Pakistani Army, Captain Sulaiman returned to the mountain communities of Hunza in Gilgit-Baltistan, where his relationship with Shilajit began.

What started as a personal interest in this traditional mountain substance gradually became a lifelong commitment to understanding how Shilajit could be carefully sourced, purified and prepared in its natural resin form.

That work became the foundation of Sulaiman Aftabi Shilajit, a family tradition that has continued across three generations since 1970.

Where Traditional Knowledge Meets Modern Testing

Captain Sulaiman believed raw mountain material should never simply be collected and consumed without careful purification.

Over time, our family developed and refined a traditional process built around water extraction, repeated manual filtration and slow sun-drying.

Today, our Shilajit is:

• Water-purified and manually filtered 15–20+ times

• Slowly sun-dried for approximately 45–90 days, depending on seasonal conditions

• Produced without added fulvic acid, fillers or synthetic mineral infusions

• Independently laboratory tested for elemental purity

We continue to use the traditional methods passed down through our family while adding modern laboratory testing to provide greater transparency into the finished resin.

A Third-Generation Family Tradition

Today, the third generation of our family continues the work Captain Sulaiman began more than five decades ago.

Shilajit is not one product among many for us. It is the product our family has specialized in since 1970, from sourcing in the mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan through purification, sun-drying and preparation of the finished resin.

Our current independent elemental testing includes lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury, thallium and aluminum, helping customers see what was actually tested and what the laboratory found.

We believe authenticity should be demonstrated through origin, experience, process and testing — not simply claimed on a label.
